MSc

Mohammad Saim Rahmatyan is a Master’s researcher in Physical Geography at York University. His thesis, “Partitioning Flow Components in the Upper Black Creek River Catchment Using Multi-Tracer Approaches,” focuses on quantifying subsurface, surface, and precipitation-driven water contributions within an urban watershed.

He brings a strong background in analytical chemistry, with experience in environmental pollutant control in both water and air through the synthesis and application of nanomaterials, photocatalysts, and advanced analytical methods.

By integrating chemical-tracer expertise with hydrological field techniques, Mohammad aims to improve the understanding of water pathways in urban environments and contribute to more effective watershed-management practices.
